Number one on our list of unique places to stay in York is: TOFY, (which stands for Thinking of You and The Old Forge York). This beautiful getaway retreat is a 5 min journey down the road from White Syke Fields in the village of Sand Hutton, with two beautiful accommodation spots to choose from. Created by former mental health nurse Karen, who is passionate about nourishing and restoring people’s wellbeing. Karen has used her knowledge to create unique spaces and deliver you the most delicious local tastes and experiences – the perfect way to unwind after a big celebration with family and friends!

Hart Lake Escapes
If you love the great outdoors as much as we do, you’ll love Hart Lake Escapes. Evidence shows us that the quality of our relationship with nature is part of the reason for its positive impact on our well-being. Hart Lake Escapes is a selection of five, exclusively for adults, self-contained and beautifully appointed huts, all nestled in woodland around a small private lake on the edge of the historic city of York. Jollydays Luxury Glamping Bothies
Jollydays is also 5 minutes down the road from us and was one of the original glamping sites back in the day however they’ve now upped the anti by swapping tents for luxury bothies and huts. Eco-chic, this place is truly a magical experience – if you like your glamping experience with a touch of fairy dust, this one is for you.

Pippin and Bramley Cottage
If in doubt, Air BnB it! Pippin and Bramley Cottage is a brand-new barn conversion based in the beautiful Howardian Hills. This beautiful house has a stunning interior in a beautiful rural location boasting 12 acres of land. What could be better than that? Bramley Cottage sleeps up to 8 guests and Pippin sleeps 6 – can be hired together or separate.
